ESORDIO DI GIMMI IN HYPERCAR CON PROTON COMPETITION
Il weekend della 6 Ore di Monza 2023 del campionato FIA WEC ha segnato l’esordio di Gianmaria Bruni e il Team Proton Competition nella massima categoria con la Porsche 963 n°99. Nonostante Gimmi e i suoi compagni di squadra, l’inglese Harry Tincknell e lo svizzero Neel Jani, non avessero effettuato nessun test prima della gara, sono riusciti a sorprendere tutti in pista, al punto anche di essere in testa alla corsa in certi momenti e andare oltre le aspettative. Purtroppo un problema tecnica all’auto ha costretto il team a ritirarsi ma Monza é stata sicuramente un banco di prova importante e proficuo. Il pilota romano avrà anche la possibilità di salire a bordo della nuovissima LMDh sempre con il team Proton sul tracciato di Road America il 6 agosto, nel campionato americano IMSA.

GIMMI’S HYPERCAR DEBUT WITH PROTON COMPETITION
The weekend of the FIA WEC Championship’s Monza 6 Hours 2023 marked the debut of Gianmaria Bruni and Team Proton Competition in the top Hypercar class with the No. 99 Porsche 963. Although Gimmi and his teammates, the British Harry Tincknell and Swiss driver Neel Jani, had not done any testing before the race, they managed to surprise everyone on the track, even leading the race at some point and going beyond expectations. Unfortunately, a technical issue on the car forced the team to retire but Monza was definitely an crucial and fruitful test bench. The Italian driver will also have the opportunity to drive the brand new LMDh with the Proton team at the Road America track on August 6, in the American IMSA championship.
