Few Words About Myself Gianmaria Bruni
Since I was a child I have build my life around motorsport world. I started to challenge in the circuit at 7 years old with go-kart and racing with guys older then me with greatest results. For this reason I passed to single seater at only 16, becoming straightaway champion in the named Formula Campus and in Formula Renault. A game that suddenly becomes a profession. Racing in the major International categories like Formula 3 and Formula 3000 where I found the high level of motorsport championships.
Years of sacrifices, defeats and hard wins, years where the car counts more than the driver, years of experience for life.
Then 2003, I’ve been called to be F1 test driver for Minardi team and then in 2004 official driver. A very important moment for me made of glory, commitment and devotion but this didn’t satisfy my thirst for success. Therefore in 2005 I decide to make a step backward to start again to be successful. After 2 years in GP2 I have reached GT world becoming one of the most representative driver in the category.Beside many wins from 2007 I’ve been rewarded as best FIA GT driver in 2008, and I received four “gold helmet statues” by AUTOSPRINT, the major Italian Autosport magazine. I have won twice the 24h of le mans in my category in 2008 and 2012. My goal has always been to do my best in everything. I work out very hard to be more performant as I can in the endurance races.
My life out of races is very simple. Happy with my family and devoted to all kind of sport. In 2016 Gimmi he was recognized as the 11th strongest driver in the world and at the end of the same year his career took a decisive turn; Gimmi decides to leave the long path made with Ferrari for a new challenge: a multi-year contract with Porsche Motorsport is signed to continue his journey in GT.
